Post a Job on Career Builder

Listing your job opening on Career Builder will let job seekers around the country know that you are hiring. Career Builder has over 1.6 million positions listed on its site. It offers many job posting products to help you get the word out about your job and to help you screen the applicants that apply for the position.

Visit CareerBuilder.com. Click on "Employers: Post Jobs" in the green button on the top right side of the page.

Click on the number of jobs you want to post on the next page by using the drop-down menu on the left side of the page. Note that there is a decrease in the price per job posted the more you post.

Enter a coupon code if you have one on the next page beneath your current total. Click "Update Total" to confirm that your coupon was accepted.

Click on the amount of an extra product or two, such as the Smart Job (sends you the top 50 matching resumes on Career Builder) or Cross Posting (puts your job on over 250 more job boards) if you wish to purchase them. Click "Add to Cart" next to any product you want to buy. Press the orange "Continue" button near the top of the page.

Sign in to Career Builder on the next page if you already have an account. If not, create one by entering your email address, company name, first and last name on the right side of the page under "New User."

Enter other account information such as your address, password for the Career Builder site, and phone number. Fill in your credit card payment information below the account information section. Click "Complete Purchase."

Click on "My Jobs" in the task bar. Click "Post a Job" in the drop-down menu. Select the right type of job posting from the drop-down menu, and which country the job should be posted for. Click "Continue."

Fill out the job posting information on the next form. Select and enter information about the job title, industry, location, company, and description. Select whether the job is full or part time, what type of degree is required (if any), and any experience and travel required. Complete any other information in the text box for job requirements if there is anything you would like to add.

Enter contact information for the person who will receive resumes and questions about the job. Enter pay information next. Select whether you want the position to auto-renew on Career Builder, if you want to use an employee screening questionnaire, and if you want to confirm your receipt of resumes with an auto response letter. Click "Continue."
