Get a Job at Comcast

Prospective employees may be interested in applying to Comcast because of the company's appealing benefits package and opportunities for advancement. As one of the leaders in telephone, cable television, and Internet service, Comcast offers a wide variety of employment opportunities. Comcast offices are located in every major region throughout the country. The company fills positions in a variety of different fields, including marketing, sales, customer support, and engineering. Qualifications vary by job, but there are openings for a wide variety of candidates with different educational and work experience background.

Learn about the positions and the company. Even before applying for a position with Comcast, it is important to learn about the company itself. Talk to any friends or family members who work or have worked for Comcast. Employees or former employees are often able to offer the "real" scoop on what it's like to work for a specific company.

Be qualified. Whether you are working in sales, customer care, or communications technology, you're going to need to be qualified. Comcast is a major corporation and therefore has strict qualifications for its employees. You can learn about the requirements through the Comcast careers website or by talking with a Comcast recruiter.

Attend a career event or apply online. Comcast prefers that candidates file their applications online. However, if you live in a major city you may be able to attend a Comcast Careers Event. Use the link in the Resources section (below) to enter your zip code and search for these hiring events.

Fill out all required paperwork and provide a resume and references. Make sure your application is 100 percent complete before submitting it to Comcast. Having an incomplete application is very unappealing to employers.

Follow through and set up an interview. It is important to touch base with recruiters or anyone you meet at hiring events. Keep your name fresh in their mind by sending them an email. Make it clear that you are interested in setting up an interview to further discuss your future with the company. Companies like it when prospective employees show interest.
